We all need a cheerleader in our life
Let’s be honest life can be hard. Wouldn’t it be great if you could hire a professional cheerleader just to follow you around all day and cheer you on? Someone that was telling you you’re a rock start when you feel like and a clumsy fool.
Who is your biggest cheerleader?
I want you to stop now and think about it. Write it down, or say it out loud.Take a minute and think of all the people in your world and answer the question. Who is your biggest cheerleader?
Who is the person who is the greatest source of encouragement and positivity in your life?
If you are like most people, there is someone who fills that role. Maybe there is more than one person. Hopefully, there are many. Is it a parent, spouse, best friend, or perhaps someone you have known your entire life…someone who has always been a big fan, and tends to lift you up when you are down…someone who encourages you? Odd how sometimes we collect these cheerleaders in our life at a time we most need them, and they stay around long after the others have left.
Who came to mind?
These are wonderful relationships to have. I am not advocating that these relationships are not worthwhile.I am all about relationships and healthy connections in our lives. What I want to know is why didn’t YOU come to mind when the question was asked. Yes, I mean YOU.I am not talking about being arrogant, conceited, or narcissistic, thinking that you’re “all that .” What I am saying is that, in this world that is full of challenges, obstacles, and plenty of reasons to be discouraged or confused, you need to own responsibility for your confidence and how you bring yourself into each and every situation. We have lost the ownership of self. We forfeit it to others and then get frustrated when they can’t deliver at the level we need at a time we need.
You need to grab your pom-poms and amp up the volume of the voice in your head. That inner voice, the inner dialog most people have when they are doing things like driving or thinking.
What are you saying to yourself?
Are your words mostly negative?
Are they mostly positive?
Are they mostly neutral?
It’s extremely important for you to own self-confidence.
What you need to amp the volume up on
Have you ever seen some of the studies about attracting a mate or a date? One of the biggest characteristics is confidence. It does not look. It’s not money. It’s not any of these things that people typically think. It is your confidence.
Why is that?
Because people pick up on your self-confidence, and they attribute positive characteristics to people who have self-confidence. If you are a seller, you must buy you before anyone else is going to buy you.
